THE LOCAL PEOPLE X DBS PAYLAH! NIGHT MARKET
A mud festival filled with art, food, and live music

Like a little blue village lit up in the middle of the field, The Local People x DBS PayLah! Night market saw us host over 100 vendors prepping their food, art and retail items, making it our biggest night market so far. We were caught in a bit of a muddy situation that night, so a big ‘THANK YOU’ to all who stuck around with us!

It was a pleasant evening to spend with anyone; walking around the tents, enjoying the live music, while sucking on an ice lolly perhaps. A flash rainstorm left us completely swamped, soaking everyone’s footwear in what looked like chocolate fudge. Despite the nasty aftermath of the downpour, many stayed on with their bare feet and umbrellas.

“It’s uncomfortable on the feet, but the whole atmosphere and the ambience is there, and looking at our local arts scene, it’s actually very creative la, and I feel very proud,” said Low Wei Xin, 18, a first-timer to the TLP night market.
Aside from the mud, we had a fresh line up of vendors, some of which were showcasing their works at a pop-up market for the first time.
Art & Retail stalls by The Collab, Alfie De Meow, The Cotton Shoppe, Lijie Ong, Sallyzanny, Proper People Design, Puffingmuffin, SCONG, Pacamerch, Liling Liu, Yellowmushmellow, Ellia Writes, Sarah Thursday, Ultraviolets Design, Piak Piak, etc.
Food & Beverage by Little Nothings, Spinacas, South East Sliders, The Sng Bao Society, Momolato, Joogo, Uncle G's Handmade, Provision Tiramisu, Citizen Pop, Chief Coffee Singapore, Soi55, etc.
Live gigs by The Thomas Brothers, Cheryl Loon, Jaime Wong, etc.

In collaboration with DBS Bank, we gave away 10 grab bags (worth $100 each) from different stalls for the price of $10 to people who paid using the DBS PayLah! app. Those who took selfies with the DBS mascots received $5 vouchers to spend at our night market.

Hope you had fun as much as we did!
